King Residence
The King family wanted to create a “staycation” atmosphere in their back yard, something their existing concrete patio area was too small to accommodate. Their plans included a large patio area with stone sitting walls and an outdoor kitchen space. The area is constructed of stacked stone and expanded the previous space by three times, including a new lower level that leads to an outdoor fireplace and playhouse. What was once a small and uninspired outdoor space is now beautiful, warm, and inviting, with ample space for family play and entertaining friends.

Ragan Residence
The Ragan residence is a perfect example of how a transformed back yard can bring more to your life than you might expect. Until last Spring, Mrs. Ragan had been unable to enjoy her back yard because of a steep slope that posed certain dangers to her. No viable walkway existed for her to enjoy the beautiful woodsy area behind the house. Hermes crews installed retaining walls and created a meandering path with a beautiful fountain at its epicenter. The completion of this landscape has given Mrs. Ragan a beautiful, safe place to sit, draw, paint, and truly enjoy the outdoors, as well as a great place to entertain, all in the comfort of her own back yard.

Biondo Residence
When the owner of this project called us to design and build a landscape for her new home, she told us she wanted her home to be a stand-out on her neighborhood street. Eye-popping color was the primary objective here; we couldn’t get enough of it, and generous beds for annual flowers set against perennials and shrubs really delivered. An irrigation system, retaining walls, seeding and sod work and multiple planting beds also contribute to the look. Well-placed lighting fixtures around the exterior of the home turn this into an impressive nightscape that can be enjoyed even after the sun goes down. The final result of the design looks marvelous, and needless to say it is a landscape that our homeowner is proud to come home to.
